The famous Belle Epoque building of the Café de Paris on the Place du Casino will rise and be transformed. “But short entry coupons to all fantasieswarned this Friday morning Jean-Luc Biamonti, the president of the Société des Bains de Mer, who presented the first images of this project costing 40 million euros. We will not do anything, the building will not be denatured. On the contrary, we will highlight its full potential. In particular on the right side, currently unused, where the most expensive square meters in the world are located. This part of the building will also be raised by one floor and a roof terrace.
The building permit was granted recently and the works which resumed a few days ago will be completed at the end of 2023.
Here are six images of the transformation of the Café de Paris building which was entrusted to two architects: the Monegasque Alexandre Giraldi and the Frenchman Alain-Charles Perrot, architect of the Buildings of France.
The Brasserie du Café de Paris will extend over two floors
The first element of this transformation, the famous Brasserie du Café de Paris will extend over two floors: lemonade and cold food on the ground floor, a new, slightly more upscale dining room upstairs with a terrace of 280m2. The interior decoration respects the style and atmosphere of the Brasserie du Café de Paris. And a huge canopy will illuminate the entire space.
A new restaurant, a 1,000m2 rooftop and a nightclub will be created on the 2nd floor
A new restaurant will be created on the 2nd floor of the building: it is Amazonico, a Brazilian, Latino concept, more meat-oriented, and very fashionable. It started in Madrid and hit the headlines in London and Dubai. This new establishment, very festive, will be deployed in particular in place of the Salon Bellevue, the surface of which will be enlarged. It will open onto a 1,000m2 rooftop. And it will be complemented by a discotheque, a “dancing bar” in the Speakeasy spirit.
800m2 of luxury shops
Finally, the 3rd element of the transformation, the creation of several luxury boutiques on the Allée François-Blanc, from the Place du Casino to the Jardins des Spélugues. In all nearly 800m2 additional will be rented to major brands, some of which do not exist, to date, in the Principality.
