MOME may be the first carbon-neutral university in Hungary
The green transition is supported by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology to “contribute to the acquisition of professional knowledge through a more environmentally conscious infrared and vision”.
The Moholy-Nagy University of Arts (MOME) has set itself no less ambitious goal than to become the first net carbon-neutral higher education institution in the country by 2030. To achieve this goal, all its activities will be in line with the principles of sustainability from 2022 onwards, and the transition will cover all areas of operation, from increasing energy efficiency to paperless administration, but will also include active participation in off-campus climate protection projects.
The green transition is also supported by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM), and a joint strategic agreement has set out the research intention to launch projects to support sustainable operations. The aim of the cooperation is to make this practice available to other institutions.
