Demo on Saturday in Berlin: “Immediate end to all corona measures”
The group #peacefultogether has called for a demonstration again this Saturday. According to the organizers, the series of demonstrations launched by seven women is primarily about “the categorical exemption from measures for children and a free vaccination decision”. The group also calls for the “immediate end of all corona measures” in Germany. Lawyer Nicole Reese, one of the organizers, said: “It must not be that children in school and sports lessons are still subject to the obligation to wear masks, while clubs and discos can be mask-free and without a celebrated distance,”
Also with a view to the “harmless omicron development”, the German government should “declare the corona crisis over and end all encroachments on fundamental rights”. There is “no more justification” for these fundamental rights interventions. Deborah Abeßer, also a founding member of the group, says that they want to “take to the streets with everyone, vaccinated or unvaccinated and regardless of nationality, for a carefree present and future for all children and adults”. The organizers emphasize that “political party symbols are not welcome”. One distances oneself “expressly from Nazis, anti-Semites, Holocaust deniers and open enemies of democracy”.
The meeting point for the demonstration is at 2 p.m. at the amphitheater in Mauerpark, and the march is then to pass through Prenzlauer Berg. The founders of the action group are Miriam Stein (actress), Nicole Reese (lawyer), Giovanna Winterfeldt (screenwriter, singer and voice actor), Tina-Maria Aigner (actress and singer), Nele Flüchter (teacher), Sabine Winterfeldt (actress) and Deborah Abeßer (Head of Marketing).
