Annecy. The Imperial beach will be free from this summer, it’s confirmed
We had already announced it, but this time it’s official: the Imperial beach will be free this summer. The town hall of Annecy announces that it will carry out work there from March 14 for two weeks. Objective: to remove the mini-golf and karting which occupied part of the site, to re-grass the latter and open the beach to the public from June 21.
The other facilities, such as the paddling pool or the beach volleyball courts, will be maintained. Until now, the Imperial beach was designated as a public service delegation (DSP) to a private service provider and access was paid for in summer between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. In 2022, there should only be two paid beaches around Lake Annecy (unless there is a change in municipal policy): that of Saint-Jorioz and that of Menthon-Saint-Bernard.
