a beneficial evening for Annecy
Winner in Villefranche (2-1) on Friday, FC Annecy regained a foothold on the National podium, during a 25th day where Concarneau was held in check and Bourg-en-Bresse beaten.
We will have to wait for the result of the last match between Berrichonne Châteauroux (7th, 40 points) and Stade Lavallois (1st, 48 points), Monday evening (8:45 p.m., live on Canal + Sport), to draw the definitive lessons from this 25th national day. But one thing is certain, it has already – and once again – shown us that this 2021-2022 edition remains more open than ever. And that the truth of one day was not that of the next day.
Thus, while it seemed to be marking time for three days (two defeats, a draw) and had just been beaten at home by Saint-Brieuc (2-4), FC Annecy has just remembered the good memories of its rivals by going to win at FC Villefranche (2-1), back in form for four days (three wins, one draw).
The Hauts-Savoyards (44 points) suddenly progress from 5th to 3rd place, overtaking Villefranche (43 points) but also Bourg-en-Bresse (43 points), beaten on the road to Stade Briochin (1-0). They are also getting closer to US Concarneau (2nd, 47 points), annexed to US Créteil Lusitanos (2-2).
Le Mans FC is the other beneficiary of this evening. Winners of US Boulogne (1-0), the Sarthois (6th, 42 points) are becoming more and more pressing behind the top-5, just six lengths behind the leader.

Concarneau in slow motion
Despite Fahd El Khoumisti’s fifteenth goal of the season, US Concarneau conceded a laborious draw against US Créteil-Lusitanos (2-2), struggling to maintain. The Bretons were behind twice at the Dominique-Duvauchelle stadium, Maxime Etuin (38th) and El Khoumisti (56th) responding to Ervin Taha (35th) and Kévin Farade (44th sp) to equalize each time. They will therefore have pocketed only two points in their last three games.
Saint-Brieuc pinches Bourg
Châteauroux (2-0), Annecy (4-2) and now Bourg-en-Bresse (1-0): the Stade Briochin is currently stringing together the performances of choice, and no longer has any worries for its future with a 9th place. The Griffons, on their land, have managed to bend a Burgan team in vain for five games and a candidate for the rise. A victory acquired at the end of the match thanks to Aimer Gomis (82nd).

Annecy, here we go again
The trip to FC Villefranche does not look auspicious for a FC Annecy plagued by doubt. Even less after the Caladoise opener by Simon Elisor from the penalty spot (1-0, 47th). But Laurent Guyot’s players only needed five minutes to catch up, Bissenty Mendy equalizing with a header (1-1, 52′). And seven minutes were enough for Alexy Bosetti, who came into play in the 80th minute, to finally offer success to the Hauts-Savoyards (1-2, 87th). The famous “winning coaching”!

Le Mans in their retro
Clearly preferred in its enclosure of the MMArena, Le Mans FC was satisfied with a short but important victory against the red lantern of the championship, the US Boulogne CO. The decision was made in the 13th minute, on a back pass from a defender opportunely used by Julio Donisa, on the lookout in the box (1-0). These three new points allow the Sarthois to return to the immediate aspiration of Annecy, Villefranche and Bourg, and to place themselves among the candidates for the climb.

The free kick of the evening
For the pleasure of the eyes, the magnificent free kick of Sétois Santy Ngom, executed in the 90th minute of play. It was not however enough for the Héraultais to win at home against CS Sedan-Ardennes. The Boars indeed equalized in the 94th minute thanks to Stacy Misiatu (1-1).
