three teenage girls, aged 12 and 13, arrested for pickpocketing
The police officers of the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) of the Left Bank are alerted by a traveler, Monday, March 7, around 2:30 p.m. Very quickly, officials spot three teenage girls at the subway station Saint-Cyprien in Toulouse.
Their strategy was well established. They stole the wallet, mainly elderly people, putting a scarf over their purse, reports a police source contacted by The Independent Opinion.
They drop tape on the coin mechanism
Thanks to CCTV, the police will be able to track them in the subway, as well as in the tram. In Blagnac, they are going to put tape on the ticket distribution coin mechanism, forcing the customer to use his bank card and therefore to type in his code under the gaze of the three teenage girls.
At the Arènes station, during a scramble, she ends up stealing a traveler’s wallet and then tries to withdraw money from an ATM.
They were eventually arrested and taken into custody. Questioned by officials, these young girls, aged 12 and 13, declined to comment on the facts. Two of them were placed in a children’s home, Tuesday, March 8. The oldest was still in police custody on Tuesday evening to carry out identity and age checks.
