The most influential women in Monaco meet young high school girls
The day after International Women’s Rights Day, the Association of Women Business Leaders of Monaco, in partnership with the She Can He Can association, organized a conference on Wednesday in the lounges of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Appeal.
They wouldn’t have missed this meeting for anything in the world. Coming from Monaco, neighboring towns and even sometimes from the Alpes-Maritimes, nearly sixty teenage girls took turns asking their questions to the thirty Monegasque speakers gathered for the occasion to inspire vocations.
Coming from various fields, such as yachting, architecture, construction, logistics, insurance, cosmetics, or even the public sector, Monegasque personalities took advantage of small face-to-face meetings to shed light on the professional future of young girls ambitious, who took advantage of this experience to ask as many questions as possible.
“I had no idea of a job, but these meetings allowed me to learn more about the field of commercesays Emma Casarubbia, who came especially from Drap to attend the event. This initiative changes from the school environment. And to see all these women, it’s nice. »
For Vanille Raymond, a high school student at the Estienne d’Orves establishment in Nice, these interviews helped to shed light on the mysteries of the careers of these exceptional women. “You never know how people got to where they are today. These exchanges allowed us to know how to orient ourselves well to reach the place we want. »
Speakers from all walks of life
Among the speakers were notably Johanna Houdrouge, president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Monaco and vice-president of Mercure international Monaco, an import-export company founded in 1986 and Lindsay Meckenzie-Wright, deputy director of the International School of Monaco.
But also Sabine Holz-Strautmann, executive and manager in a Monegasque bank, member of the Association of Women Business Leaders of Monaco for fourteen years, Céline Cottalorda, interministerial delegate for the protection and promotion of women’s rights, Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, director of the CHPG or even Laurence Garino, Chief of Staff to Minister of State Pierre Dartout.
She really appreciated the process. “I have always liked to transmit and share my experiences in my various functions by helping the youngest and facilitating their choices in their orientation. Being able to interact with all these young girls is a real message of hope. »

Anne-Marie Noir, president of ASEPTA laboratories since 2002, was also present to talk about her experience. “The objective is to explain to young girls that they can be entrepreneurs and that it’s not just men who can do it. In a company, both female and male skills are needed. We are not in a feminist approach, but rather there to say that women can do as well as men. »
