Toulouse. Toulouse Olympique comes close to a feat against Wigan –
Outstanding Olympians for a memorable encounter. Despite a defeat (28-29), on a drop from the English registered at the last minute of play, the Toulouse were daring, precise and enterprising against an undefeated team.
Despite a late entry into the game, which allowed the Warriors to score two tries in the first ten minutes of the match, Sylvain HOULES’ men offered a performance worthy of Super League level. During the next 30 minutes of the first period, they left nothing to the Warriors and quickly regained control of this meeting by returning to the locker room with a score of 18-10.
The second half escalated with two teams going blow for blow on the pitch. The TO showed a lack of lucidity at the end of the game, allowing the Warriors to equalize and seize their chance on a drop at the siren.
