Toulouse. Stade Toulousain cracks the gong in Paris
Stade Français once again won the Classico in the money time (23-16). Toulouse leaves the wagon of the six qualified and will have to bring down Montpellier at home to still hope.
After missing his start, the defending champion is also very badly finished at Stade Français. Still in the points on the siren, the young Toulouse guard did not defend the draw which held out his arms, then lost everything on the last action of the game.
Despite a burst of enormous energy in defense and in the rucks, the Rouge et Noir always stayed behind in scoring before coming back up to their hosts five minutes from time.
Finally, a disastrous start and a yellow card due to Charlie Faumuina got the better of the lucidity of Hugo Mola’s men when he should have “frozen” the score at 16-16. Despite a large alignment, the Toulouse were also imprecise and left many cartridges for the Parisians.
After the truce, the Toulousains will find Montpellier for a late match at Ernest Wallon. The defeat will be prohibited, before the return of the internationals under the red and black tunic.
