Made in Asia: a major Asian festival will land in Toulouse for 10 days | Parties & Concerts
After a canceled edition in 2020 and an online one in 2021, the festival of Asian cultures Made in Asia finally returns to Toulouse for its 15th edition! From April 2 to 10, the festival will travel through the pink city, settling in dozens of partner cultural venues. On the menu: 20 programs, 95 events, 46 venues, 4 VIP events and 14 guest artists.
This year, Japanese culture will be honored during the 9 days of the festival. Between modernity and tradition, Japanese culture is also renowned for its gastronomy and its literature. The Made in Asia festival intends to go beyond clichés in order to discover a more contemporary Japan through exhibitions, live shows, concerts, cinema, literature, conferences and creative workshops…
Highlights include Katcha-Katcha, a gourmet and interactive culinary design performance; an electro evening organized by Musekai in the magnificent garden of the Georges-Labit Museum ; an original project by Taiwanese artist Charwei Tsai in the heart of the medieval world: a photographic exhibition dedicated to twins, while the bars of the Collectif Bar-Bars will be set to Japanese time in the four corners of the city.
