Property, Chance card, banknotes… Who wants to appear in Rouen Monopoly?

In a few months, revisiting Rouen without leaving home and doing this with your family will be possible again. In effect, a new version of Monopoly Rouen is in production. The third edition of this city Monopoly, 11 years after its last publication in 2011, should see the light of day in the fall and be available in stores for Christmas. If these versions of the game are normally released every 10 years, its creation was postponed this time due to Covid. Sarah Emery, communicator at Winning Movesthe game publisher and exclusive partner of Hasbro, tells us that the preparation had already started in 2019. In the meantime, shops and businesses can apply to hope to be part of it.
Several ways to appear in the game
Until March 6, 2022, it is possible to communicate with Winning Moves, to appear on the emblematic board game board. To get your cash register, you will have to be ready to pay a sum that will vary according to the space required. Because if it is possible to be present on the property spaces, it is also possible to appear on Chance cards, community chests and even on banknotes!
Certain conditions must be met to try to be part of the new game. A pre-evaluation has already been made by the publishers to verify the applications submitted. These must be in line with the spirit of the game, which seeks to reach the widest possible audience. Hard to imagine then that tobacco bars can be part of the party. Likewise, some cases are locked down and reserved for some of the city’s biggest landmarks. The squares of the Hôtel de Ville or the cathedral of Rouen were to be de facto integrated into the game, even if for the moment these choices have not yet been made.
About fifty cities also have a Monopoly in their image. Other Norman municipalities separate this privilege, Caen and Le Havre also having their own game. The rest of the region is also honored in the Norman version, where you can go from Honfleur to Giverny via Deauville!
