Ousted from the Jadot team, Sandrine Rousseau banned from towing in Toulouse this weekend
Ousted from Yannick Jadot’s team on Thursday evening, Sandrine Rousseau has confirmed her arrival in Toulouse this weekend for events outside the campaign.
Storm at Europe Ecologie les Verts this Friday, in Paris, and around Sandrine Rousseau, dismissed the evening before from Yannick Jadot’s campaign team after his vitriolic proposals against the candidate and his campaign reported by “Le Parisien”. The ex-candidate for the environmentalist primary certainly denied in the process, the situation had been tense for weeks anyway. She therefore no longer chairs the political council of the candidate.
“The situation is complicated”, admits an activist from EELV but, at this stage, the ecofeminist seems to want to temporize and would not consider leaving the party. “We do not want to further disrupt the campaign,” says this close friend of Sandrine Rousseau who wants to wait to see “the reactions” to this eviction before drawing conclusions.
Sandrine Rousseau will be present in Toulouse this weekend. This Saturday first in the Izards district at the invitation of the Tactikollectif. At 5 p.m., Place Ahmed Chenane, she will speak for a conference on the theme “feminism and working-class neighborhoods”. Then on Sunday, she will go, as planned, at 3 p.m., to Saint-Sulpice (Tarn) with activists opposed to the Terra 2 project, a giant warehouse, likely to become a logistics platform. On the other hand, a distribution of leaflets was planned for the end of the morning on Sunday on the Cristal market, near Jeanne-D’Arc. This action will take place but the activists will not be accompanied by Sandrine Rousseau. “It is no longer desired on campaign actions”, slips this same activist.
