Kick-off of the extension works of the new Princess Grace Hospital Center
The Prince’s Government has entrusted the French company VINCI Construction with phase 1 of the structural works and covered enclosure of the Princess Grace Hospital Centre.
The construction of the new Princess Grace Hospital Center is underway. A major project for the Principality, which should be delivered at the end of 2025. And to carry out this vast project, the Prince’s Government called on the VINCI group for a total amount of 98 million euros.

This contract covers the construction of the first new building, comprising two sets of sixteen levels and an underground car park on six levels, for a total floor area of 65,000 m².
A low carbon footprint project
This operation is part of the expansion and modernization of the Princess Grace Hospital Center. The activity of the current hospital will not be stopped during the duration of the works, while an acoustic protection dome will be put in place during the earthworks and retaining phase to limit noise pollution, in a dense urban environment. .
A project that is part of the Exegy® approach provided by VINCI Construction and intended to generalize the use of concrete with a low carbon footprint. Thus, 85% of the concrete implemented on the project will be low carbon, with a formulation using greenhouse gas emissions of 30%.

The bioclimatic design of the envelope contributed to the thermal comfort of the building, with corrugated high-performance concrete sunshades on its entire facade, offering patients a majority of rooms with a view of the sea.
