TwinswHeel autonomous droids are coming to college
“Droids Twinsw heel arrive on the campus of the University of Toulouse”, announces the manufacturer on its site. These are small autonomous cars dedicated to the delivery of snacks on demand. The vehicles are inserted into traffic and delivered throughout the Paul Sabatier University campus, activated alone between buildings.
They have 4 wheel drive, suspension and steering. Once arrived at the foot of the building, the robot warns “its client”. Delivery takes just a few minutes. The experiment, named “Autocampus”, tends to standardize the integration of vehicles of the future in this kind of environment. Aid for the delivery of parcels and books is also imagined.
Other adapted experiments in the region
Montpellier, for its part, hosted an experiment between TwinswHeel and La Poste. “The objective is to restock factors during their rounds to reduce their load in the morning and the use of large vehicles to return to the city centers”, explains the droid manufacturer. The cars used were yellow, with the La Poste logo.
TwinswHeel has also developed droids intended for help people with reduced mobility during the Occitanie innovation trophies. “This electric droid revolutionizes the approach to sustainable and sustainable production with a 100% wooden body and as always 80% of suppliers within 400 km”, specifies the company.
