Toulouse. Marengo, François Verdier, Saint-Aubin… Work is increasing for the 3rd metro line

The construction sites are multiplying in the Pink City. A new phase of preparatory work for the construction of the third metro line began on Monday February 28, 2022 in Toulouse. It is mainly about displacements of underground networks and drilling, as well as archaeological diagnostic campaigns. Here is the list of sectors impacted by construction sites.
Francois Verdier sector
Moving works underground networks began on Monday February 28 for a provisional duration of three weeks. “These interventions will take place in five phases
to guarantee local access, pedestrian crossings and car traffic,” says Tisséo. The work is taking place on the Allées François-Verdier, on the Saint-Etienne side. The traffic is maintained.
Abalone sector
Work to move underground networks also start on avenue Jean Rieux Monday, February 28, 2022. They will double in two phases. Initially, part of Avenue Jean Rieux will be closed to traffic (except residents).
Saint-Aubin sector
In the Saint-Aubin district, it is a diagnostic campaign carried out by the Heritage Inventory and Archeology Service, which has just started in rue Pierre Paul Riquet. This first phase of work should last at least until Friday, March 4, 2022. Traffic is not interrupted and temporary pedestrian zones are set up.
Toulouse-Lautrec sector
In the Toulouse-Lautrec sector, work to move the underground networks has entered its second phase. They were to continue for at least six weeks. The intervention zone is located between rue Negreneys and rue Marie-Claire Catellan. A detour has been set up.
Marengo sector
In the Marengo district, work to move the underground networks is entering its second phase. The construction site is located on the Marengo Blvd., near the José Cabanis media library. Traffic is not cut but it will be reduced to one lane. Work was to continue until Friday, March 4, 2022.
Montaudran sector
In the Montaudran district, the work to move underground networks, which started on February 10, will continue at least until Friday March 18, 2022. level of the future Montaudran Innovation Campus-Airbus station. Rue René Cornemont and access to the underground car park will be blocked for the duration of the works. River access and shops are maintained for the duration of the operations.
