Péter Szijjártó: Hungary is interested in peace
Hungary supports the initiative launched by eight EU member states to promote Ukraine’s European integration – Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which was also reported in the M1 Newsletter.

In a video uploaded to Péter Szijjártó’s community page, he said that the presidents of the three Baltic states, as well as Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Slovenia, had called for Ukraine to be granted EU candidate status as soon as possible and to start accession talks as soon as possible. He said: Hungary supports the proposal and urges that it be put on the agenda in Brussels. He added: Hungary is interested in peace, so it will give Ukraine all the help that will promote peace.
“I would like to announce Hungary’s support for this initiative, and we urge the Brussels institutions to put this request on the agenda for the eight presidents, which Hungary also supports. I have also informed the Polish and Lithuanian Foreign Ministers of this supportive decision today, and we expect Brussels to take this initiative seriously.”The minister said.
Viktor Orbán: Hungary’s security comes first
Now the most important task of everyone, including the Hungarian diplomatic faculty, is to follow Hungary’s drift into the war – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke about this at a meeting of the heads of missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on Tuesday morning. Hungary is taking part in joint European actions to bring about peace, but we will not send weapons or soldiers to Ukraine, because that would endanger the lives of the Hungarian people.

The Prime Minister stated that Hungary is participating in European efforts to bring about peace, but is not sending weapons or soldiers to Ukraine because it endangers Hungarians.
Tamás Menczer: we do not allow the transfer of deadly weapons to Hungary via Ukraine
Every effort must be made to restore peace, so it is an important step to start peace talks – the Secretary of State for Information and the International Map of Hungary on the M1 on Monday. Tamás Menczer said: It is in Hungary’s interest to stay out of this war conflict, and this is the most important thing in the government’s decisions, including the last one.
“We do not allow the transfer of deadly weapons to Hungary via Ukraine on a bilateral basis. This is a security interest. Hungarian security interest. The Secretary of State also said that, as perhaps the largest humanitarian operation in the history of Hungary, a package worth HUF 600 million would be put together – from other food and hygiene items needed to provide care for young children – and delivered to Transcarpathia.

It is not necessary to deal with what the other countries are doing in this situation, but what Hungary can do for peace with its size and situation – Mrs. Ágoston Sámuel is injured on the M1.
