πΈπͺ Sweden: 2.76 million viewers for the Melodifestivalen Heat Four
Just over 2.75 million viewers watched the fourth heat of the Melodifestivalen 2022 on Saturday night.
2,759,000 viewers watched the fourth Heat of Melodifestivalen 2022 on Saturday night, where the show had a share of 73.2%, which is a decrease of just over 180,000 viewers compared to the previous Heat. 206,560 additional viewers also saw the heat on SVT Play.
Heat Four also saw the largest number of paying telephone votes in a Melodifestivalen’s semi-final in 14 years. SEK 1,435,319 was collected during the show for Radio Aid, where the proceeds go to help Ukrainians during the ongoing conflict with Russia.
The dates for the remaining Melodifestivalen shows are as follows:
- Semifinal: Friends Arena (March 5)
- Final: Friends Arena (March 12)
The winner of the final on March 12 will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has continued to be one of the competition’s most successful countries. The country has won the competition six times, the most recent was 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the competition in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing in the final in 2010, Sweden has finished third twice and won the competition twice, only in 2013 did the country end up outside the top 10 in the final.
