The gendarmes and the staff of the African Safari zoo in Plaisance-du-Touch are currently looking for two kangaroos. These wallabies escaped from the zoo on Monday. Some passers-by hallucinated when they met them in the street.
Some motorists think they are hallucinating this Monday afternoon when they cross paths with two kangaroos. These animals roam freely around Plaisance-du-Touch, a town located southwest of Toulouse. The two “wallabies” left the Plaisance zoo on Monday. In the process, several residents called the gendarmerie to report the presence of these animals near their home. ” Malicious people have revealed themselves in the zoo and let escape 2 wallabies, one of which is white. The animals are identified by microchip. A complaint will be filed with the gendarmerie. According to the first elements, they would be at the around the zoo, between Plaisance du Touch and La Salvetat Saint Gilles, but remain untraceable to this day. The gendarmerie, the municipal police and the firefighters are mobilized to help African Safari find them.
The management of the African Safari calls for caution. “These little wallabies are harmless but they should not be frightened by trying to catch them. This could cause a road accident. We have advised motorists to drive slowly in this sector, especially this evening when the light has dropped”.
