The Lobby Lounge bar at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo is one of the unmissable meeting places in the Principality of Monaco. It is also a relaxation area with bar and restaurant in an elevated position to enjoy the panoramic view of the big blue. Open to hotel guests as well as people from outside, the place offers a gourmet menu prepared by Laurent Smeulders. The executive chef of the Fairmont has come up with gourmet suggestions in the colors of the Mediterranean and some sure values fished outside our borders.
Barbajuans from the Fairmont, sardinillas in olive oil presented in their tin, with semi-salted butter and toasted bread, tasty Corsican charcuterie from Antone Tomasi, craftsman of “cooked meat” for five generations, theavocado toast with its focaccia with herbs, the burratina from Puglia like the back of roasted salmon with its honey mustard from Provence and its pan-fried mushrooms of the moment or the generous Irish beef tomahawk to share are worth the fork.
There are also burgers, pizzas, club sandwiches and shrimp rolls, with avocado and fries, just to make sure the house register is wide. We add classic desserts very well seen, such as Menton lemon tart and Guanaja chocolate mousse, which allow gourmet samples of what is on offer here to calm small and large appetites. Wine list at all prices (including the Côtes de Provence Château Margillière at €13 a glass and the fresh Sancerre red Les Bonnes Bouches by Henri Bourgeois at €15). Service until very late.
