In June 2021, the inhabitants of Old-Toulouse were able to see original boats tumbling at full speed between the town hall and the house of associations. Indeed, during the village festival, the town reconnected with his soapbox race. The event had also had some success with 15 registered.
Based on this observation, the town hall proposes to participate in a new edition of this fun competition during the next local party which will take place from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June 2022. The pilots have see you on Saturday June 18 in Vieille-Toulouse.
How to register ?
Registrations are already open. To participate, you must send an e-mail to [email protected] with the name of the team and those of the participants. The technical regulations of the event, the specifications for the construction of the boxes and the race number will be given at the end of these formalities.
Four teams are already registered and the municipality hopes to have more soapboxes at the start than last year. Moreover, just like in 2021, the competent organizers participate well! “We have to take our revenge”, we joke on the side of the town hall. It must be said that the race was largely won by a participant accustomed to this kind of competition.
A more ambitious course?
The course of the next race remains to be determined. It might be similar to the previous edition, but the organizers are considering a “more ambitious” version.
Remember that participation in this new soapbox race is free.
