Slovakia supports the exclusion of Russia from the SWIFT financial system. What will happen too?

All countries of the European Union already support the exclusion of Russia from the SWIFT financial system. However, this requirement is not present in the new Union framework. On cutting Russia off from the global interbank payment system SWIFT requested on Thursday (February 24) the international community of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
SWIFT cross-border transactions and play an important role in international trade. Analysts agreed that cutting off the Russian Federation from this payment system could put the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin on its knees. It would also hurt the countries that trade with Russia, it would be almost impossible for Russian gas, for example. However, this did not precede it.
Slovakia also supports the mentioned step. And what will it cost us? According to Prime Minister Eduard Heger, removing Russia from the system will cost us less than other countries with more trade with Russia. “It’s important in this situation, it’s not a question of cost. However, it is necessary to send a signal to stop the aggression and bring peace to Ukraine, “she confirmed.
