After a loud round of applause for the head of state, the protesters shouted “stop Putin” while Marcelo greeted those present, on the other side of the garden, and heard from Pavlo Sadokha a “thank you very much Mr President” for all the support he gave the people. Ukrainian.

Marcelo praised the “very militant struggle” that the Ukrainians are doing for their, for their homeland, territory and for the right to decide their own destiny.

“What I wanted to say here is that there is also a word to give to Ukrainians living in Portugal. It is an exceptional community, which has contributed to democracy, freedom, peace, the creation of wealth in our country, which has the most important functions of a social nature”, he praised.
