Austria meets Switzerland in a “decisive game”.

After three games in the European Championship qualifiers, Austria has just as many wins. But the hardest one awaits on Sunday with the Confederates Opponents in Group A. And in Switzerland at that.
In the event of a win, the Austrians could hardly be denied promotion to the next round – and our men’s team has already won against the Swiss in this qualification!
Switzerland vs. Austria (Group A)
Sunday, 4 p.m. – Fribourg, Site Sportif Saint-Leonard
Team Austria also presented themselves very confidently in Cyprus on Thursday and convinced over long phases with aggressive defense. This was the key to success in the first leg against Switzerland. There is no question that the young team of head coach Raoul Korner will show this again on Sunday, because this is becoming more and more the identity of the talented squad. At the same time, the Swiss can also defend, as they showed in the first meeting. Their switching defense always causes problems for the red-white-red. Among other things, the team has been working on this in the past few days. If there is an improvement here, there is nothing standing in the way of victory number four in this European Championship qualifier.
Raoul Korner, team boss Austria: “The game against Switzerland already has a decisive character for the group victory. We saw in the first leg where we can hurt them, but also how vulnerable we are. Both teams are on the road with a slightly different line-up, so the first leg is actually only of limited significance. We will continue to be defensively aggressive and have to work better under the basket than in the first leg.”
Marvin Ogunsipe, Austria player: “I think we’ve prepared well for tomorrow’s game. We just want to take the momentum from the last three wins with us, but we don’t want to rest on our laurels. Tomorrow is a new day and we can take a giant step to qualify. We will do our best and hopefully leave the field as winners.”
