Expresso Tours: the first map is for discovering Portugal by Car (with its weekly March 4th)
Dare to discover the most hidden corners of Portugal and the most surprising landscapes, villages and monuments of this varied country. Do it in the most comfortable, safest and fastest way, that is, by car: a way that is not just for driving in the monotony of the highway, but to allow ourselves to go out on the road, in search of what is original, genuine and surprising.
In the first of these four maps distributed with Expresso, suggesting 15 routes from north to south of mainland Portugal, without forgetting the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. These itineraries were designed to combine the pleasure of driving on roads that are not always very fast, but with a varied layout and great scenic value, with the discovery of unique places.
Travel suggestions that can take us both to the legendary Misarela bridge and to the ruins of the oldest of the Cistercian abbeys in Portugal, Pitões das Júnias. To the fortress of Almeida, centuries-old key to the defense of the lands of Riba-Côa, as well as to the stud farm where the bravest and most intelligent horses in the world are raised: the Lusitanians of Alter.
Each is profusely illustrated with the main waypoints marked, but for a more perfect navigation and to dispel doubts, the reader can always consult a more detailed one, a true roadbook.
