Novavax will be vaccinated in Salzburg from March 5th
Corona vaccinations with the protein vaccine from Novavax will be possible in Salzburg from Saturday, March 5th and will be granted in the vaccination streets of St. Johann, Zell am See and at the main train station (Cineplexx building) in the city of Salzburg.
Around 1,700 people have registered for this vaccine in Salzburg since December 28 of this year.
In Lower Austria it will be available from March 3rd. For the currently 10,082 pre-registered Lower Austrians and all other interested persons aged 18 and over, Nuvaxovid is available in all Lower Austrian provincial vaccination centers without an appointment. Ordinations can also order the vaccine.
Upper Austria started vaccinations on March 4th – and with 5,600 registrations.
Two vaccinations at intervals of two weeks are recommended for the basic immunization.
Novavax is the fifth vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency EMA for the European market and will be delivered to Austria from today, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday.
1.9. million doses ordered
Along with France and Germany, Austria is one of the first countries to receive the vaccine – 1.9 million doses are on order. Austria has ordered 3.1 million doses of Novavax for the first quarter of 2022
Nuvaxovid IS often referred to by the general public as a dead vaccine, although it does not fit the classical definition of one. Many experts prefer to speak of a “recombinant protein vaccine”.
