The Noirmoutier friesit is an alternative after the fresh potato season.
The Noirmoutier crisps have been around for 15 years, but for the past 6 years there has been a revival concerning the choice of variety. The Arsenal potato was chosen by the agricultural cooperative. Its agro-environmental qualities make it possible to clean the land and help fight against nematodes, an alternative to chemical treatments,” explains Nicolas Paille, director of the agricultural cooperative.
For 1st class travelers
A new packaging has just seen the light of day. It is dedicated to packets containing 40 grams of primeur crisps which are now distributed free of charge on the Paris-Lyon and Paris-Marseille TGVs, to travelers from 1before Classes. This new packaging containing the Arsenal variety, in addition to its La Noirmoutier logo, sports a pretty stylized feminine face, as well as the name BCBG which translates for the cooperative into “Beautiful Good Taste Chips”.
And it’s not over ! The chip will be in the spotlight at the agricultural show in Paris from February 26 to March 6. This year, with the help of Sylvain Ciuba, project manager for the association Les Saveurs de l’île de Noirmoutier, the chip will be the subject of a challenge proposed to the Euro-Toques, entitled “crunchy island, crunchy island, Noirmoutier crisps in all its forms”. During the animation of these Tables d’Hôtes, the chefs will have to make a real dish that will integrate Noirmoutier crisps.
