The Minister for Ecological Transition in Toulouse before the arrival of the ZFE
Barbara Pompili is in Toulouse this Monday, February 21, a few days before the entry into force of the Low Emission Zone (ZFE), scheduled for March 1.
It is both a demining operation and a communication operation. The Minister for Ecological Transition Barbara Pompili is in Toulouse this Monday, February 21. She must meet economic players in the Toulouse metropolis to answer their questions about the Low Emission Zone (ZFE). In particular, this involves clarifying the conditions for its implementation.
In order to fight against air pollution, a ZFE will be set up on the territory of Toulouse from March 1, 2022. It provides for the exclusion of the most polluting vehicles, later by 2024.
The ZFE gradually applies to Toulouse
From this date, vans and vans displaying a Crit’air 5 sticker will no longer have the right to circular within the perimeter of the ZFE. It “includes a large part of Toulouse inside the ring road, as well as a small part of Colomiers and Tournefeuille, i.e. a perimeter of 72 km2”, as shown by the municipality on his website.
As of September 1, 2022, Crit’air 4 vignettes will also be excluded from the ZFE. As of January 1, 2023, the restrictions will be extended to private vehicles with these same stickers. Finally, on January 1, 2024, the restrictions will also include Crit’air 3 stickers.
Toulouse Métropole has provided for exemptions from the ZFE. A list was made public this Thursday, February 17. “We worked in this state of mind: to remain firm on the principles of the ZFE, while listening to the difficulties encountered by certain sectors”, explains the president of Toulouse Métropole, Jean-Luc Moudenc, in a press release.
