Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg celebrated her 38th birthday
Princess Stephanie, wife of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and mother of their little Prince Charles, celebrated her 38th birthday this Friday.
Two days after her sister-in-law Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, it’s Princess Stéphanie’s turn to blow out her candles. The wife of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, eldest of the five children of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, celebrated her 38th birthday this Friday, February 18, 2022.
A portrait already released a year ago
But while the Grand-Ducal Court had released new portraits on the occasion of Princess Alexandra’s birthday, this was not the case for that of the grand-ducal couple’s daughter-in-law. The photo published on social networks alongside a message in four languages - Luxembourgish, French, German and English – was already known. It was one of the pictures unveiled, just a year ago, for his 37th birthday. Too bad for those who hope for an unpublished image of the young woman. And above all, like last year, as a mother, accompanied by her adorable little Prince Charles.
Last of the eight children of Belgian Count Philippe de Lannoy and his wife born Alix della Faille de Leverghem – both now deceased – Princess Stéphanie was born in Ronse in Belgium on February 18, 1984. She was raised in Château d’Anvaing, in Belgian Hainaut. She entered the Grand Ducal family on October 19, 2012 when she married Crown Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg. Ceremony which was followed the next day by a religious celebration in the Notre-Dame de Luxembourg cathedral. Prince Charles, their first child, was born on May 10, 2020, after seven and a half years of marriage.
