EUNICE storm report: 176 km/h in Pas-de-Calais, 200 km/h in England!
The EUNICE storm swept through a small northern third of France this Friday, February 18 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Here is also the final assessment of this storm, which crossed northern Europe.
This winter storm was linked to the presence of an imposing low pressure system over the North Atlantic, which was propelled by a violent Jet Stream (high altitude winds that blow around 10,000m) to the British Isles and then northern Europe, hence the bad weather that occurred.

For Germany, the Netherlands and the south of England combined, this storm Eunice is the strongest for 2 years.
In conclusion, it should be noted that this EUNICE storm ranks slightly above the classic winter storms. In terms of winds for Hauts-de-France, its occurrence is once every two years on average.
