Toulouse: new mobilization of Thales employees on the Basso Cambo site
New mobilization at the call of the unions, this Thursday morning February 17, of some of the employees of Thales Avionics, on the Toulouse site of Basso Cambo, to demand a salary increase.
“The Thales Group’s financial health is excellent. The forecast results for 2021 recorded a very strong rebound, the Group’s operating profitability now returns to a level close to 2019, the payment of dividends stands at 40% of the result. These results are the result of the hard work and commitment of the employees”.
It is for this reason, denounced by an inter-union CFDT, CFE-CGC and CGT of Thales Avionics, that discontent is rising among employees who are demanding an increase in their salary at the French electronics group, one of the world leaders specializing in the aerospace, defence, security and ground transportation.
This Thursday, February 17, nearly 80 employees of the Basso Cambo site of Thales Avionics “who signed a petition”, indicated Dominique Ferrachat (CGT).
“Discounted wages”
Since the start of negotiations with the management of the group, 4,600 employees have signed the petition throughout the territory. In view of the excellent results of Thalès, the intersyndicale evokes salaries “at a discount”. This is the fourth day of mobilization (January 27, February 3 and 10).
“Employees, estimated the unions, suffered in 2021 a wage policy at a discount despite this commitment during the Covid crisis: wage increases were postponed from January 1 to July 1, which amounts to dividing them by two, with a budget so low that 65% of them had an increase of less than 0.5%”.
Finally, the unions are calling for a “return to increases on January 1, 2022 and a minimum envelope of 4%, making it possible in particular to compensate for very high inflation”.
