Musicians to honor the treasure
Educational project of an Emirati music school taking place from the Louvre in Abu Dhabi among the important pieces of the Domagnano Treasury.
On the occasion of the expo, the boys of an Emirati music school created vocal and instrumental performances, stories and paintings inspired by this ancient jewel. The reproduction of the “Tesoro di Domagnano”, the set of jewels found by chance in 1893 during agricultural works in the San Marino locality is exhibited in the San Marino pavilion of the Expo. The reproduction is the work of the Bolognese goldsmith Marco Casagrande, currently exhibited at the State Museum of the Republic of San Marino, in the Territorial Archeology section.
Just over a month to go until the end of Expo 2020 (inaugurated due to Covid last October) and the San Marino pavilion continues to intrigue and attract visitors. This time the additional is due to the didactic project that an Emirati music school has developed on La Fibula del Tesoro di Domagnano. It is a series of artistic performances that celebrate its beauty created by 14 students who joined the project created by the Louvre Abu Dhabi through the ‘Abu Dhabi Louvre Young Guides Museum Voices’ program with the support of Da Coda Musiqaa ”. The boys, aged between 8 and 18, created vocal and instrumental performances, stories and paintings inspired by this ancient jewel and the works were then presented online. (…)
Coda Musiqaa “is currently organizing a scholarship for some of its deserving students in collaboration with San Marino International Music Summer Courses 2022 to renew the link between the Republic and the United Arab Emirates that was created in Expo 2020 Dubai thanks to the fibula of Treasure of Domagnano.
