Comments on Bayern’s draw in Salzburg
News | FC Bayern only played 1-1 at RB Salzburg in the first leg of the round of 16 in the premier class. This game could probably have ended differently, the Austrians played a good game.
Adeyemi: “We may be a block on the leg for Bayern”
A hit later from Kingsley Coman (25) rescued that FC Bayern a draw in the game at RB Salzburg. The hosts countered well, even had a chance to make it 2-0 after 80 minutes and could also become a stumbling block in the second leg. “We have fulfilled the principles of our coach. I think a 1:1 is something to be proud of. We are ready, greedy and lively, that’s what matters. I think we’re probably a block on the leg for Bayern,” said Stürmer Karim Adeyemi (20).
Teammate Andreas Ulmer (36), who ran up and down the left side, was satisfied: “Of course, if you concede the equalizer at the end when you’re about to beat Bayern, that’s bitter. But I think based on the performance you can be very satisfied with what we achieved today. It was a lot for the whole team to do well defensively. We made good use of the spaces up front, but we were able to play more calmly here and there.”

Müller: “I have mixed feelings”
Joshua Kimmich (27), midfielder of the record champions, had problems classifying the game: “It’s difficult to classify. We had planned much more beforehand. That wasn’t enough in the first half, we weren’t organized and Salzburg created dangerous accounts. We knew that they have a lot of fast players and that they are dangerous in transition situations. It was a little better in the second half, you could tell we wanted to win the game. In the end it’s a draw, we can even make it 2-0, so it’s okay. In the rest of the defence, we have to take on the opponents even better, need more control of the game and have to play our actions better ourselves.”
how did it go Thomas Müller (33), who saw a good reaction from the record champions: “I have mixed feelings. Salzburg are a good team, the atmosphere was great here, the general conditions were good. It was fun on the pitch, although we suffered more than we would have liked. That was down to the Salzburg team, but I still think we showed a reaction in the second half, but we had a number of good chances to score. If you look at the game shares, the way we came back was a good step.”
