San Marino. Pension reform, meetings resumed. Secretariat is aiming for the process in the Council in June
The meetings on the subject of pension reform in the Republic of San Marino resumed on Thursday 10 February.
The USL gives the news, adding: “The very attended meeting focused mainly on sharing the method on which to continue the discussion; the objective of the Secretariat is the text for the start of the council procedure by the month of June in order to start the application from 1 January 2023.
We appreciate the availability of the open Health Secretariat of a draft susceptible to any modification and observation that we will bring to the table, as the possibility of intervening on all the articles presented has been reiterated.
The preliminary objections already advanced by the USL in recent months remain valid, such as the contextual presentation, together with the Pension Plan, of the other structural reforms of the country such as the Labor market reform orIGRthat will not be able to generate economic recession, austerity and negatively impact the pockets of workers and retirees.
When setting up the necessary changes, the use of expensive bills, the increase in basic necessities and the increase in needs that are affecting our Republic must be taken into account and weighted.
It is essential that pension funds are protected and guaranteed also for future generations, but precisely for this reason the state must continue to play its part responsibly.
The pension reform, in order to be effective, cannot neglect a careful examination of the numerous implications relating to welfare aspects and well-being for this reason we have decided to involve the inclusion of articles such as laboratories, women’s option, career protection and discontinuous, but these themes, barely mentioned, must be filled with content.
Development policies aimed at relaunching businesses, work and all sectors of our economy as well as the renewal of bilateral agreements with Italy and entry into the European Union will also be fundamental.
It will also be a duty to restore confidence to the entire system.
USL will give its contribution but expects maximum transparency, sharing and comparison by all the actors concerned without anticipation or forcing “.
