Fight for promotion in the Portuguese Championship: seven spots open
Vilaverdense, Marítimo B, Salgueiros and Fontinhas join Sertanense in the fight for the climb.
If Sertanense was the first club to mathematically guarantee its presence in the promotion phase, Vilaverna phase and Marítimo B (series A), Salgueiros (series C) and Fontinhas (series D) and Fontinhas (series D) and the ticket to the next stage on Sunday, however, still has seven more spots for design.
In the B series of the Portuguese Championship, there are five candidates for two places. Paredes leads with a three-point advantage over Mirandela, third, who are one point behind Tirsense, second. However, Mirandela (30 points) and São Martinho (29) have one game less. More difficult is Amarante’s mission (26 points). Still to the north, Leça (35 points) can confirm the passage on the next round, if they beat União 1919.
To the south, Sintrense and Belenenses are tied at the top, with 27 points, followed by Loures (26), Pêro Pinheiro (24) and Sacavenense (22), but the latter two have a late arrival.
Finally, the F series has three emblematic Algarves for the two free seats. Olhanense and Moncarapachense are in charge, with 30 points, and Louletano has 28. However, those from Olhão are two games behind and those from Moncarapacho with one.
