Toulouse. A metro station will close for 15 days, starting Monday: here’s why

The announcement has just been made by Tisseo. The train station Minimes-Claude Nougarolocated on metro line B at Toulousewill be closed for 15 days, starting Monday, February 14, 2022.
The reasons for the closure
This station will be closed from Monday 14 to Monday 28 February“due to the replacement of its escalators”, indicates Tisséo, who specifies:
“Travellers could refer to the Barrière de Paris or Canal du Midi stations or take bus line 29 at the Minimes – Claude Nougaro stop. following flow studies, will be transformed into a fixed staircase at the end of the operation”.
By 2030, all escalators will be replaced
According to Tisséo, “this replacement is part of a escalator renovation plan which started at the end of 2020 with the Ramonville station. Its purpose is to improve the comfort and safety of its travellers”.
By 2030, “all the escalators on lines A and B will be replaced by new models, i.e. 120 new escalators. At the end of the operation, 77 Line B escalators have been replaced and 3 others transformed into fixed staircases in the Ramonville, Minimes-Claude Nougaro and Palais de Justice stations”.
