In a bad spiral on the sporting level (5 defeats in a row, therefore 4 in the Top 14), the Toulouse stadium records a very bad news with the injury sound center Pita Ahkias he faces Stade Français this Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Stadium.
The New Zealander, so indispensable within the Red and Black attack line, indicated on his account instagram that he had been product from left knee at the Médipôle Garonne clinic in Toulouse on Thursday February 10, 2022.
Touchdown against Perpignan
Aligned 14 times this season (all as a starter), Pita Ahki was replaced just before the hour mark by Zack Holmes during the heavy defeat conceded in Perpignan last week (36-13). The knee was affected, and the examinations did not indicate anything good, with a passage through the operation box.
Absent “several weeks”
On his Instagram account, Pita Ahki indicated that he would be absent “several weeks”. “You can’t control injuries, but you can control how hard you work to come back. See you soon,” it read.
One more small tile for the one Toulouse has taken care of for the past two seasons, sparing him with intelligence because of a strained physique. “Pita had serious problems at a very young age. If these glitches had not happened, he would certainly have worn the All Blacks jersey much more often, ”said head coach Ugo Mola at the end of 2020.
Without Pita Ahki and a multitude of internationals retained with the XV of France (they are 9 present on the France-Ireland match sheet on February 12), Stade Toulousain will have to grit their teeth even more in the weeks to come.
