Iggy Pop, Francis Cabrel, Anne Sila, Christophe Mae… The other concerts expected in Monaco this spring
Even if the performance halls in the Principality did not cut the sound during the pandemic, it is clear that the harvest printed this year will be like an upturn.
In all the major concert halls in the country, the program is rich and eclectic. Starting with the Grimaldi Forum which has booked three singers to mark out the first semester.
First Iggy Pop, the American rocker, twice forced to postpone his Monegasque performance by the pandemic, he should be back in Monaco on May 19. Without the Stooges but with the same energy that he displayed in July 2010, on the Place du Palais for the anniversary of the sovereign’s five-year reign.
Speaking of birthdays, another celebration is planned for the Salle des Princes on May 7. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of his first album, My ParadiseChristophe Mae has decided to treat himself to an acoustic tour of around thirty dates, which will pass through Monaco just before the Olympia.
In another register, it is a troubadour of French song who will stop in the Principality: Francis Cabrel. Rare on stage – his last Monegasque concert dates back to 2009 – the singer from Astaffort should delight his audience on July 6.
For fans, the Grimaldi Forum’s Thursday Live Sessions have also resumed service to provide a platform for young musical talents: Tankus the Henge (February 24), Dowdeline (March 24), Laura Cox (April 28) Lass (12 May) and Bab’L’Bluz (June 23).
Espace Léo-Ferré will make its artistic comeback on April 2 by inviting the group General Elektriks, a heterogeneous formation which distills its funk, pop and electro pieces, to its stages.
If they are far from the media circuits, they have their public who like to travel with them. Their sixth album, moreover, contains the song Cosmic Verificationwhich evokes the alien invasion of our planet and the reaction of humans…
In another genre, it is the winner of the all-star edition of The Voice last year, which will be in Fontvieille on April 23. Anne Sila embodies the spirit of the show well because she has a powerful and recognizable voice. That it also tinges with jazz and that we rediscover live.
An interesting mix to celebrate spring.
