Corona incidence in Berlin continues to fall – 10,164 new cases – BZ Berlin
The corona incidence in Berlin has fallen again. The value was 1413.8 on Friday, according to the Senate situation report. The day before the incidence was 1495.7, on Wednesday 1564.9.
The incidence indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been shown to have been newly infected with the corona virus in the past seven days.
10,164 new corona infections (previous day: 11,467) were registered in Berlin on Friday. The total number is 639,528. There were 5 other deaths. 4164 people have died in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic from or with the disease caused by the pathogen.
The situation in the districts
All districts reported current numbers: Most new infections were in Neukölln (+1276), followed by Reinickendorf (+1108), Treptow-Köpenick (+996), Marzahn-Hellersdorf (+928) and Tempelhof-Schoeneberg (+911).
Few new cases reported Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf (+452), Mitte (+535) and Lichtenberg (+768).
► With the seven-day incidence, all Berlin districts are currently between 1000 and 2000. AAt the top of the districts is Marzahn-Hellersdorf (1754.3), followed by Lichtenberg (1718.1) and Tempelhof-Schoeneberg (1536.3).
The minimal incidence has meanwhile Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf with 1260.5).
The status of vaccinations
75.8 percent (previous day: 75.7 percent) of Berliners are fully vaccinated. 77.2 percent (previous day: 77.1 percent) have been vaccinated at least once. A total of 7,532,068 vaccinations were granted (previous day: 7,516,418).

The Corona traffic light
The relative change in the seven-day incidence was replaced by the hospitalization incidence to provide a more meaningful indicator in the corona traffic light recording. The seven-day incidence and the occupancy of the intensive care beds remain unchanged.
► According to the management report, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants – equivalent to the seven-day incidence for all of Berlin – is 1413.8 (previous day: 1495.7) – the traffic light is RED.
► The seven-day hospitalization incidence is 26.6 (previous day: 25.5) – the traffic light is RED.
This indicator shows how many people per 100,000 inhabitants were hospitalized after a corona infection within a week. The indicator is green when the value is below 4. From 4 the traffic light switches to yellow, at 8 to red.
► The utilization of the intensive care beds by corona patients is 15.9 percent (previous day: 15.9 percent) – the traffic light is YELLOW.
The yellow limit here is 5 percent, at 20 percent this traffic light also turns red.
