Toulouse: PIerre Fabre’s double solidarity collection
Faced with the success of the Christmas Boxes operation for the most vulnerable, the Restos du Cœur encouraged Pierre Fabre to participate in a double collection: food and hygiene.
Following the particularly successful action, realize at Christmas around the gift boxes for the most deprived, which collected more than 600 packages intended for the precarious people, the Restos du Cœur called on Pierre Fabre for a new solidarity commitment. “This time, we are counting on a double action, one of which is in partnership with the Restos du Cœur, explains Julien Rousseau, head of Social and Environmental Commitment at Pierre Fabre. Employees collecting non-perishable food for the benefit of Restos du Cœur as well as periodic protection for the association “Féminité sans Abri”.
This last action, already carried out in 2021 for the benefit of this association, had collected more than 2,150 kits at the time. Faced with this success, an employee, Florence Lucas, involved in a personal capacity with “Féminité sans Abri”, invited her colleagues to get involved by participating in this collection. “She was able to find the words she needed to lead them into this united movement”, remarks Julien Rousseau.
“A cause that concerns everyone at a time when the needs are immense”
An initiative with multiple objectives: “Our objectives are simple but essential, assures Julien Rousseau. At the same time, we want to make employees aware of these two often linked societal problems represented by food and menstrual insecurity. Through this initiative, we also want to make a gesture that makes sense based on the bond between colleagues and finally to make other companies and individuals aware of getting involved on March 4 and 5 for the national Restos du Coeur collection. A cause that concerns everyone in a period when the needs, since the pandemic, remain very great ”. Hoping that the citizen spirit will be present for these two actions.
