Naples, judge Scognamiglio acquitted in Rome: “The liberation of a nightmare”
Rome, 10 February 2022 – It was acquitted ‘for not having committed the deed’ the judge of Naples Anna Scognamiglio in the ongoing trial before the court of Rome after the investigation into the alleged pressure exerted for get an appointment in the Campania health care.
The charge of “undue induction” was redeveloped into “influence trafficking” and the magistrate was acquitted. Sentenced instead to a year and a halfex-husband Guglielmo Manna and three other defendants for influence trafficking. The investigation was coordinated by the Rome prosecutor’s office.
During the trial the governor of the Campania Region was heard as a witness in the courtroom Vincenzo De Luca, the location to which it had already been archived. De Luca had reiterated that he had never met her, Manna or Scognamiglio, that she had been the judge rapporteur of two procedures linked to the application of the Severino law against the president of the Region.
In 2017 as part of the same investigation In Mastursi, former head of the secretariat of the Campania governor, he was sentenced to one year and 6 months for undue inducement to promise.
