Toulouse: Fifteen bakeries broken and thousands of euros stolen in two minutes
A 34-year-old man has just been confused by police investigators for around fifteen breakages in bakeries in Toulouse and nearby towns. He had stolen thousands of euros.
His modus operandi was as efficient as it was lucrative. A man has just been confused after several months of investigation for bakery breakages committed between March and October in Toulouse, Colomiers and Tournefeuille. It all started with an arrest in flagrante delicto, on Tuesday, October 19, in the Arènes sector. That evening, an alarm goes off after an intrusion into a bakery. A patrol intervenes and the burglar is caught in the act. Placed in police custody and taken care of in the premises of the unit of connoisseurs of property of the departmental security, he was subsequently tried in immediate comparison, sentenced and imprisoned. End of the first act.
But investigators continued their work and realized the threads of this man’s criminal journey. The video protection images but also the operating mode leave no doubt, for them, on the same suspect and on a series of acts. It took him only two minutes to enter the bakeries and get his hands on the money contained in the coin mechanisms.
This 34-year-old man was taken from Seysses prison on Tuesday and taken into custody by investigators from the property crime unit. He did his best to deny the facts. The damage is caused to several thousand euros. He could be judged very quickly.
