Dutch Asparagus Center Foundation has started
The general collaboration between Teboza, The Greenery, ZON fruit & vegetables and SAL (Stichting Agrarisch Limburg) will continue as a foundation from 1 February under the name Stichting Nederlands Asperge Centrum.
“We are already working together to ensure growth in asparagus consumption in the Netherlands,” says Rik Kursten, of asparagus company Teboza.
Large-scale campaigns
Unique, and therefore a first in the sector, is that they are exceptionally active in the bundle of Dutch asparagus forces by setting up campaigns on a larger scale. “The immediate reason for the collaboration is that being an important product for ZON and the other parties means that I am an active part of the new foundation as a grower and board member.” says Lauran Geurts, operator & driver ZON fruit & vegetables.
Diversity of expertise in governance
The day-to-day management of revenue companies has a diversity of expertise, including Marketing, Communication and Product Management. “Thanks to this varied composition, we are able to reach our end customer, the best, in the future”, Renske Hartensveld, product marketer at The Greenery, added.
Collaboration inside and outside the sector
The plans for the campaigns that will start in April 2022 have been approved by the board. More will be known about this in the run-up to the asparagus season. The foundation is open to partners within and outside the sector who stimulate the consumption of asparagus.
