Belgium and the United Arab Emirates strengthen their police cooperation
Interior ministers signed a memorandum of understanding in Dubai, on the sidelines of the royal visit. Because the Emirates are now the main foreign destination for suspicious financial flows.

Sf the royal delegation present in Dubai on Saturday mainly visited the Belgian pavilion at the Universal Expo, the ministers accompanying Philippe and Mathilde also had their own agenda. Thus, the Minister of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, was in the United Arab Emirates to sign a memorandum of understanding with her counterpart in terms of police cooperation.
“The objective”, she explains to us, “is to strengthen cooperation between our countries in terms of the exchange of information within the framework of investigations, the fight against international organized crime or drug trafficking. But also to exchange our best practices and organize joint police training. »
