23-year-old woman dies after being hit on ring road
On the night of Friday to Saturday February 5, 2022, a 23-year-old young woman died on the outer ring road, in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). For the moment, the circumstances of this tragedy remain unclear.
This Saturday, February 5, at 1:27 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was hit by several vehicles at the Cépière interchange, on the outer ring road in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne).
The young woman was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the left lane. According to a police source, she ended up outside the car and was hit by several cars.
Police officers from the BAC du Mirail as well as the Samu intervened quickly to provide first aid, but the 23-year-old victim died of these injuries.
An investigation has been opened to find out the circumstances of this tragedy. The driver of the vehicle, the alleged spouse of the victim, was taken into custody. Tested positive for cocaine, the man, born in 1997, said during his first hearing that the young woman would have opened the door and jumped following an argument. Originally from Venerque (Haute-Garonne), he was until now unknown to the police and gendarmerie services.
The ring road remained closed until 5:30 a.m. in the Toulouse-Montpellier direction to allow the Toulouse police to carry out additional investigations.
The occupants of the other vehicles involved in this accident were not injured but are very shocked. They were taken care of by the firefighters of Haute-Garonne on the spot, according to France Blue Occitania.
