It will begin online on the MatchWornShirt platform – an auction site specializing in the sale of sports shirts – the day after the match, Sunday February 6 at midday to close Saturday February 12 at 3 p.m..
AS Monaco will then donate the sum allocated up to 50% to the CSM and 50% to the Flavien Foundation to enable them to move forward with their respective projects.
Support that can’t be refused
Since the creation of the Flavien Foundation in 2014, the club had shown its support by inviting its president Dennis Maccario to highlight its action. A support that has continued over time.
“Two years earlier, just after our Biennale, we had been injured with various volunteers and people who surrounded the foundation to attend a match. In 2018, during the Coupe de la Ligue final in Bordeaux, the treasurer of the foundation had left by bicycle to attend the match. Step by step, he had taken photos with the people he met during his trip. On this occasion he took the opportunity to talk about the foundation.recalls the president who hopes to collect aid both in terms of image and financially: “If the players give us their match bonus it would not be bad [rires]. Afterwards I hope to always have more than zero. It’s a boost. They are among the patrons who have the opportunity to give. The objective is to perpetuate the action both in terms of awareness and financial support, if there is one. What we are looking for above all is the impact of the club from institution to institution. When a club knocks on the door saying, we want to help you, you can’t refuse!
A support that the foundation will need since it is preparing to launch a clinical trial over three years requiring 2 million euros in total.
The aim is to enable children affected by cancer to benefit from faster analysis and above all to develop new, more effective treatments adapted to the various pathologies.
