Badminton. French Championships: eight Bretons come out of qualifications in Boulazac – Badminton
single checkers
If Ainoa Desmons (Guichen / Bourg-des-Comptes) and Célia Frassin (Rostrenen) stumbled in the 1st round, Clara Dubois (Flume Ille) was able to tear herself away in three sets in the qualifying final to insert the big picture. In case of victory on Friday, Dubois will have the honor of challenging Rostrenoise Xuefei Qi.
simple gentlemen
Winners of their first round but then fell in the “final”, Tino Daoudal (Guichen / Bourg-des-Comptes) and Martin Boiveau (Rostrenen) will not accompany Marius Reboul-L’Alexandre. The young Morbihannais licensed in Tours held his rank of seeded 3/4 and will challenge, this Friday, the experienced Alexandre Françoise.
double checkers
Nice card for the Bretons with two qualified pairs: Juliette and Alice Wattebled (Penchots de la Rade Brest) and Ainoa Desmons – Youna Lavenant (GBDC). While the Finisteriennes will have a nice shot to play, Friday evening, the Bretilliennes will have nothing to lose against the seeded N.2.
Men’s Doubles
A little short in singles, Tino Daoudal pulled out all the stops in doubles with his friend from Ligné, Paul Tournefier. In three innings, they brought down the No.1 seeds, Alex and Théo Lanier. Here they are in the big picture with a big shot to play against other qualifiers. And, just to motivate him, the prospect of facing the Popov brothers, in the event of victory on Friday evening.
Mixed Doubles
Last qualified, late this Thursday evening, Juliette Wattebled and Bastian Kersaudy managed some nice qualifications and validated two clear victories on the occasion of a nice return to the past. Friday noon, the level will go up a notch (or two) against numbers 2, Tran – Villeger.
