Lionel Richie cancels “Hello” tour through Germany & Austria
Although most of the “Hello” shows were already completely sold out, Lionel Richie will not be touring Europe in 2022.

Soul singer, songwriter, music producer and saxophonist Lionel Richie may not have released a new album since 2012, but hits like “Helle”, “Say You, Say Me” and “All Night Long (All Night) are also decades later another great success. The songs are so popular that the all-round talent wanted to start his big tour of Europe in 2021. After the outbreak of the corona virus, however, he had to postpone the coup to 2022…
… then cancelled
But in summer 2022 the superstar will not be on stage. Instead, he canceled all concerts for the “Hello” tour on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 and also has no alternative dates at the start.
“With Covid and the virus variants still affecting the whole world, I had to bring myself to cancel my plans to tour Europe this summer. The most important thing for me is the health of my fans, band and crew. I hope that everyone can understand that and I hope that we can meet again at some point when it is safe to celebrate coming together again,” Richie wrote, among other things:
There will be no new dates for the shows, instead all ticket prices will be refunded. The following concerts are canceled in summer 2022:
June 22, 2022 – Wiesbaden
June 24, 2022 – Hall
June 25, 2022 – Berlin
June 27, 2022 – Hamburg
June 28, 2022 – Hamburg
July 13, 2022 – Munich
July 15, 2022 – Klam (Austria)
