Toulouse, Muret: negotiation today at Transdev on strike for 12 days
Twelfth day of strike this Tuesday, February 1 at Transdev, a subcontractor of Tisséo which operates the Murétain bus lines and 4 Toulouse lines. A negotiation meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2 between Transdev management and representatives of the strikers.
The labor dispute at Transdev Occitanie Ouest, a Tisseo subcontractor, began on 12and strike day this tuesday 1uh February. “The Muret depot is 75% occupied, the Toulouse site has been added with a dozen strikers”, specify Rose-Marie Gomes Da Silva and Sylvie Larroque, respectively FNCR and CGT union delegates, “since the proposals made on January 27, there was no progress.”
Resumption of negotiations on February 2
A negotiation meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2 between management and representatives of the strikers, according to the FNCR and CGT unions. Previous negotiations, on December 31, 2021 and January 3, 17 and 24 did not result in an agreement. The strikers complain of “deteriorated working conditions, poor health insurance coverage”, with an hourly rate of only €10.82, and demand various bonuses (for Saturday worked and accidentology), the cessation of all proration of first: holidays and 13th months, respect for the functioning of CSE elected officials, an increase in the rate of social work for employees, better career development and the benefit of a separate urban collective agreement for urban transport. Transdev operates 16 lines in Murétain and 4 lines in Toulouse by public service delegation from Tisséo. On account 70 conductors at the Toulouse depot and 60 at the Muret depot. 1uh February, management announced 35 strikers including 8 in Toulouse.
“Difficult context”, for the new director
“It is difficult for us to respond to the demands of the strikers in a difficult context for Transdev Occitanie, which has been very affected by the health crisis, with a sharp drop in revenue on board linked to a drop in attendance, while we have not found still the attendance from before the crisis, and also affected by a structural deficit result, for several years, of our sector”, explains Bertrand Leroy, who has just taken up his duties as director on February 1, “we have the desire to save jobs and to stay the course, we hear the demands on purchasing power (hourly rate resulting in a 5% increase for the lowest wages) which have been rejected.
