It is located at number 40 bis rue Peyrolière, in downtown Toulouse. This mysterious establishment is known for not having a name, hence its name “The restaurant with no name”. He took up residence four years ago in Toulouse.
Recently, two young partners took over the business: Fabien Lecoustre, 24 years old and Robin Mothe, 26 years. If the restaurant remains nameless, the but being to function by word of mouth, the two Saint-Gaudinois restorers wanted to add their grain of salt.
No name and … No menu
This change of ownership a trained one new dynamic. The unnamed restaurant now put on a new concept : there is no aura more menus. Without a name and without a menu, what remains of this establishment?
Contacted by The Independent OpinionFabien explains:
We no longer have a menu, that is to say, no more traditional starter-main-dessert formula”. And to add: “instead, we offer lots of small plates to share, a little in the the spirit of tapas but much more elaborate”.
Toulouse residents could thus enjoy a convivial moment by paying homage to French gastronomy, but also to delicacies from all walks of life. “Some of our plates are inspired by the cuisines of the world”, Fabian before adding: “Robin has traveled a lot and he passes on his know-how in the kitchen”. At the same time, “we have renew the wine list with organic, nature etc…”. Good news for amateurs.

A winning bet
To continue to surprise the taste buds of its guests, the unnamed restaurant renews the menu of its plates every week. “It’s a concept that we find a lot in Paris where I studied”, Fabian explains. “We noticed that there was no or very little toulouse so we wanted to import it”. Thus, the restaurant without a name stands out a little more from the competition with daring and innovative concepts.
Despite the difficult period that the sector is going through due to the epidemic, the nameless restaurant does not know the crisis. “We are very often full. At the same time, we only have 25 seats so the places go quickly”, assures Fabian. For good reason, the concept arouses the curiosity of those who have never come and makes the regulars happy. “By changing the concept, we have recovered a new clienteleespecially restaurateurs”, informs Fabian.
A guarantee of quality for new owners. The unnamed restaurant is now open from Thursday evening to Monday evening, allowing Toulouse residents to come and enjoy even on Sunday.
