Swiss veggie burger for Austria – Swiss farmer
The Swiss start-up The Green Mountain now also believes in Austria with vegan products. The meat alternative products are made in the Swiss mountains.
The preliminary range of products ranges from vegan meat loaf to steak and schnitzel, as the company shared on Tuesday. The products are rich in protein and fiber and the well-known vitamin B12. On the other hand, flavor enhancers, added sugar, cholesterol, lactose and palm oil were deliberately avoided.
The start-up expanded to Germany last December. Green Mountain is part of the Hilcona Taste Factory, which belongs to meat processor Bell. The startup was voted test winner in Switzerland with its Plant-Based Burger and also won the “Swiss Vegan Award 2021” in the Newcomer of the Year category.
Among other things, the vegan steak is sold in Austria. This contains soy and wheat protein. The fillet is made from wheat, soy and peas, among other things.
